Hurricane Florence: Insured losses could reach 4.6 billion USD

Hurricane Florence, which hit the East Coast of the United States on September 14, 2018, could generate between 1.7 billion and 4.6 billion USD in insured losses, estimates the American company of risk modeling Air Worldwide.

The states of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina have been seriously affected by bad weather, winds and floods.

The initial indications mentioned losses worth 20 billion USD payable by the insurance companies. The cost of the claim is therefore largely revised downward.
