Hurricane season 2022: above-average risk
In 2022, the Atlantic and East Coast hurricane season is likely to be extremely destructive. The Colorado State University (CSU) meteorology team already lists 20 tropical storms, 10 hurricanes and 5 major hurricanes of category 3 or higher.
CSU, predicts an increase in the number of climatic events. The imminent increase in risk and intensity is also feared given the amount of property damage that hurricanes can cause when they pass through coastal megacities.
