Increase in motor third party liability coverage limits in France
The French government has raised the ceiling for property damage coverage under mandatory motor third-party liability insurance.
The decision, which came into effect on 17 March 2022, also applies to the Guarantee Fund for Mandatory Insurance (FGAO), which provides compensation to uninsured victims.
The indemnity limit for property damage under mandatory motor third party liability is now set at 1 300 000 EUR (1 431 209 USD) compared to 1 220 000 EUR (1 343 135 USD) in 2017.
