Increasing number of uninsured vehicles in France

Car insuranceBetween 12 May 2020 and 12 July 2020, a significant increase of 6% was reported concerning the number of uninsured cars.

This is due to the health crisis in France. First, the situation goes back to the fact that some drivers forgot to insure their vehicles during the Covid-19 crisis.

Second, some vehicle owners found themselves unable to pay their insurance premiums. Last but not least, the economic impacts of the Covid-19 have worsened people’s financial situation. Consequently, many of them chose not to ensure their vehicles in order to save money.

For the record, the average motor insurance costs 653 EUR (749.328 USD) per year.
