India counts more than 500 thousand road accidents in 2015

Figures released by the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways reported 501 423 road accidents in 2015, up by 2.6% compared to 2014.

During 2015, the number of deaths on Indian roads reached 146 000 while the number of casualties is estimated at more than 500 000.
