Indian insurers allowed to provide health policies through digital means
Within the context a pandemic, the Indian regulatory authority IRDAI is enabling all health insurers to provide health insurance policies via digital means.
IRDAI henceforth allows the policyholders to send their agreement to the insurer by e-mail or telephone, instead of having to sign a paper form.
This initiative makes it possible for customers to access their documents at any time. It also establishes a mutual transparency between the insurer and the insured.
