Africa: Insurance in countries with the continent’s richest inhabitants
According to the study, the total individual wealth held on the continent amounts to 2 300 billion USD. About 920 billion USD, or 40%, is held by millionaires.
The average African individual has net assets of nearly 2 000 USD (wealth per capita). The continent is home to 24 billionaires with net assets of 1 billion USD or more, 7420 multimillionaires with net assets of more than 1 million USD.
Atlas magazine focuses on the insurance situation in the top ten African countries with the wealthiest inhabitants of the continent.
