Insurance turnover increase in Cambodia

The Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) reported that all local insurers recorded a 9.5% increase of their turnover in 2021. The volume of premiums reached 294.4 million USD at the end of last year.

Life premiums grew by 11% to reach 170.4 million USD. The non-life activity, on the other hand, posted a turnover of 123 million USD, thus increasing by 7.4% over one year.

The insurance penetration rate and the insurance density in the country stood at 1.1% and 17.5 USD respectively.
