Insurers facing the digital giants (GAFA)

The digital services company Capgemini and the international interbank Efma have jointly conducted a survey of customer behavior.

Nearly 30% of those surveyed say they are ready to subscribe an insurance policy with the four digital giants (Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon), often known by the acronym GAFA. This percentage was 18% three years ago. Customers are increasingly attracted by the innovative insurance solutions offered by these companies, to the detriment of conventional formulas.

The survey invites traditional insurers to collaborate with Assurtech to accelerate their digital transformation. They must also invest in data analysis and artificial intelligence, offer products more adapted to the new needs of consumers to finally resist growing competition.
