Investment in AssurTech in full swing

According to Willis Towers Watson, investment in AssurTech reached 2.29 billion USD in 2017, up by 36% compared to 2016.

Two-thirds of the deals are with startups specializing in insurance. The remaining third includes traditional companies that have developed innovative insurance solutions.

Another example is the life insurers, New York Life and Transamerica Ventures, which together invested 40 million USD in H20.ai, a start-up specializing in the design of artificial intelligence solutions for insurance.
