Jordanian insurers' results decrease in 2021

resultThe financial statements filed with the Amman Stock Exchange show that Jordanian insurers recorded a 35.1% decline in net result in 2021. The latter stood at 17.18 million JOD (24.2 million USD) as of 31 December 2021 compared to 26.5 million JOD (37.3 million USD) at the end of 2020.

Among the 18 insurance companies, 13 companies achieved profits while the 5 others recorded losses.

Arab Orient Insurance took the lead of the ranking with a net profit of 6.55 million JOD (9.24 million USD) in 2021. The insurer is followed by Al-Nisr Al Arabi and First Insurance which posted respectively 2.92 million JOD (4.1 million USD) and 2.08 million JOD (2.93 million USD) in net results.
