Journalism Awards 2020: Pan-African Journalist of the Year

The registrations for the next edition of the «Journalism Awards» are valid from September 2^nd until November 30^th,2019.

Established in 2015 by the Nigerian reinsurer Continental Re, this competition aims to motivate African insurance and reinsurance journalists.

The competition only targets anglophone and francophone African journalists.

The next edition includes four awards:

• Award of the best insurance/reinsurance article (paper printed), written in English
• Award of the best English-language article broadcasted on radio/television
• Award of the best article published in English on the web
• Award of the best article (printed, radio/television broadcasted, online) published or broadcasted in French.

Two categories of winners will be rewarded:

• The winner of all categories combined shall receive 2.000 USD and a one-week internship in London with the magazine Commercial Risk Africa (CRA).
• The winner of each category will be invited in March 2020 to the awards ceremony. They will receive 1.000 USD and a two-day internship with CRA.

The journalists ranked 2nd and 3rd will each be granted 500 USD.
