An insurance platform for Kenyan small farmers

agricultural insuranceEtherisc, a decentralized insurance protocol and the microinsurance provider ACRE Africa are setting up an insurance platform based on blockchain technology. The solution offers insurance coverage to the 250 000 small farmers who are most vulnerable to climate change.

Funded by the Chainlink Community Grant program, the initiative enables Etherisc to develop a user-friendly system that facilitates farmer-to-farmer interaction develops insurance policies. Local payment systems are also expected to be integrated into the platform.
