Kenya Re: H1 2020 results

Kenya ReDespite the Covid-19, Kenya Re recorded good results in the first half of 2020. The turnover amounted to 9.07 billion KES (84.36 million USD) against 8.85 billion KES in 2019 (85.63 million USD), that is an increase of 2.4% in original currency.

At 30 June 2020, the net profit improved by 46%; going from 1.08 billion KES (10.45 million USD) in H1 2019 to 1.57 billion KES (14.6 million USD) twelve months later.

The investment income amounted to 1.91 billion KES (17.76 million USD) against 1.95 billion KES (18.87 million USD) at 30 June 2019, thus decreasing by 4% over one year.
