Japan: Kyushu earthquake, insured losses estimated at 2.9 billion USD

The earthquake that shook Japan on April 17, 2016 caused extensive damage.
We count, to date, 58 dead people, 900 injured, 3 900 houses and 120 buildings totally destroyed .

According to AIR Worldwide, damage borne by insurers would be between 1.7 and 2.9 billion USD. This assessment applies only to property damage losses.

Are not included in these figures, operating losses as well as those caused by the disruption of supply chain.
