Launch of six digital insurance services in Oman
The Omani Capital Market Authority (CMA) has announced the introduction of six digital services. The objective is to improve communication between policyholders, investors and other stakeholders.
This initiative is part of the "Oman Vision 2040" program aimed at the digital transformation of the Sultanate.
The following e-services are available on the CMA website and mobile application:
- an inquiry system for the public to seek clarification on the procedures and services provided by the authority
- a complaints system against companies operating in the insurance sector and against companies operating in the capital market
- a warning system
- a system for claiming compensation from a fund for the injured and the beneficiaries of people who have lost their lives in traffic accidents
- a system for calculating the value of scrapped vehicles
