Lebanese insurance market accounts for 5.2% of the Arab market in 2016

According to a survey carried out by Byblos Bank with 19 Arab countries, the Lebanese insurance market accounted for 5.2% of the overall underwritings made in the region in 2016.

With a turnover of 1.608 billion USD, Lebanese insurance ranks fifth behind United Arab Emirates (10.2 billion USD), Saudi Arabia (9.8 billion USD), Morocco (3.4 billion USD) and Qatar (2.9 billion USD).

In 2016, Lebanon generated a net result of 144.07 million USD.
