Liberty Holdings, towards the shedding of 800 jobs

Liberty Holdings has embarked on a cost reduction strategy. The difficulties in the South African insurance market are forcing companies to save money on many jobs. Liberty Holdings is bound to make nearly 800 job cuts in order to regain some semblance of competitiveness.

As a reminder, the group recorded a decrease in its turnover for the first half of 2018. The latter fell from 35.7 billion ZAR (2.752 billion USD) at the end of June 2017 to 27.4 billion ZAR (1.993 billion USD) at the same period of 2018.
