Lloyd’s disbursed 1.7 billion USD in hurricane-related claims

Lloyd’s has declared having disbursed 1.7 billion USD in compensations for claims triggered by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. These disasters that lashed South East United States in September 2017 are expected to cost Lloyd’s 4.8 billion USD in estimated total losses, Inga Beale, the group’s CEO, announced.

During recent five years, the London market has disbursed 85 billion USD in compensation for the benefit of the insured and ceding companies worldwide.
