Lloyd´s does not rule out presence in Turkey

The Consul General of Great Britain in Turkey has announced, in a press conference in Istanbul, that the establishment of a Lloyd’s office in the capital is likely to help Turkey gain much leverage as an international financial center. This announcement has been made with a view to inciting local authorities to facilitate the establishment of Lloyd’s in the country.

The insurance and reinsurance specialist posted 2.1 billion GBP (3.1 billion USD) in profits in 2015 for the amount of 26.7 billion GBP (39.5 billion USD) in gross premiums, a 6% year-on-year growth.
