Lloyd's targets the Iranian market

Lloyd's would be in talks with the Iranian regulatory authorities for an establishment in the former Persian empire.

These steps took place a few months after the lifting of the economic sanctions imposed on Iran for nearly a decade.

Obtaining a license in Iran would give the London syndicate access to the largest non-life insurance market in the Middle East and the 29th largest market in the world in 2014.
