Maghrébia and CIAR are joining their skills in Algeria

Following the launch of its new life subsidiary in Tunisia, the chairman of the board of directors of Assurances Maghrébia, Abdelaziz Essassi, has announced that the Tunisian insurer is going to join CIAR in order to establish Massir, a life insurance company in Algeria. Magrébia will hold 34% shares in the capital. The Algerian insurance sector remains dominated by the non-life classes of business and by the state-owned insurers: SAA, CAAR, CAAT.
