Maghrebia: results 2018

Maghrebia has published the financial statements ending 31 December 2018 of its two entities Assurances Maghrebia and Assurances Maghrebia Vie.

The non-life company, Assurances Maghrebia, reported 159.486 million TND (52,988 million USD) of written and accepted premiums at the end of 2018 against 144.003 million TND (58.075 million USD) at the end of 2017, that is an increase of 11% over one year. The incurred losses recorded a 14% rise at 86.346 million TND (28.687 million USD) compared to 75.641 million TND (30.505 million USD) in 2017.

The loss ratio rose by three points at 82% in 2018. The net result also increased by 14% at 10.125 million TND (3.364 million USD).

For its part, Maghrebia Vie reported written premiums worth 58.489 million TND (19.432 million USD), up by 16.34% compared to the 50.275 million TND (20.275 million USD) recorded in 2017. The benefits grew by 19% at 17.064 million TND (5.669 million USD).

The net result of the life entity amounted to 8.221 million TND (2.731 million USD) in 2018 against 7.326 million TND (2.954 million USD) one year earlier.
