Major French brokerage firm hit by cyberattack

cyberattaqueOn Saturday, 27 November 2021, Adelaide, France's eighth biggest generalist broker and owner of the brokerage firms Verlingue, Generation and Coverlife, was subjected to a cyberattack. The extent of the damage has not yet been determined.

Following the crippling of its computer system, the group has requested its 2 200 employees to remain at home. The business continuity plan has been triggered to prevent data theft.

In 2021, three major cyber attacks targeted French brokers or insurers: the group April in November, AssurOne in August and the Mutuelle Nationale des Hospitaliers (MNH) in February.
