Mehdi Tazi acquires a majority stake in AXA Assistance Morocco

Mehdi Tazi has acquired, through his holding company Expanso, 80% of the capital of AXA Assistance Morocco from AXA Partners.

The transaction covers all local assistance activities on the African continent (excluding Algeria). The remaining 20% stake is still held by AXA Assurance Maroc.

Through this initiative, Mehdi Tazi, also a Marsh shareholder in Morocco and Vice-President General of the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), confirms his goal to develop the assistance business.

The transaction, which is subject to the approval of the relevant authorities, is expected to be finalized within the year 2022.
