MENA region, insurance leaders broadly optimistic for the coming twelve months

A survey, conducted with twelve insurance leaders gathered within the MENA Insurance CEO Club, has shown that despite future hardships, 85% of them remain optimistic for the next twelve months. CEOs, unsurprisingly, expect that the largest insurers would do well. Two thirds of them forecast the entry on the market of foreign players and remain convinced that local competencies have to improve. The survey also found that brokers are responsible for the fierce competition and that reinsurers support the poor premium rates in the entire region.
