Michael van der Straaten to head Qatar Re

Michael van der Straaten has been appointed CEO of Qatar Re. He joined the company in 2016 where he served as Chief Underwriter Officer and later acting executive officer following the departure of Gunther Saacke, former CEO of Qatar RE.

The Burmudan reinsurer has also apointed Pantelis Koulovasilopoulos Chief Underwriter Officer (CUO), long tail & specialty classes.
