Moroccan insurers to support auto-entrepreneurs

auto entrepreneurDue to their business interruption, the Moroccan auto-entrepreneurs fond themselves strongly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR) decided to deal with the situation.

The government, in partnership with the FMSAR and the Caisse Centrale de Garantie (CCG), set up measures to provide them with financial support. The Moroccan banks will thus grant loans to self-employed people upon request. The interest on these three-year loans shall be borne by the insurers.

The FMSAR, via the Caisse Centrale de Garantie, was able to donate 100 million MAD (9.87 million USD) to the Guarantee Facility established by the State.
