Motor insurance costs

The first seminar dealing with motor claims in the Middle East was held late September in Dubai. Participants highlighted various arguments which will help motor insurers reduce costs pertaining to claim distribution and management. Among the criteria considered for this purpose, participants referred to the importance of market data collection, the need to combat fraud, effective management of repair and spare parts costs. A decrease in the frequency of motor claims has been noted for the Gulf countries from 39% in 2010 down to 25% in 2012. In the Emirates, this improvement is accounted for, especially, by stiffening repression.
