Motor insurance: increase in green card applications
According to the Bureau Central Marocain d’Assurance (BCMA), the number of motor insurance certificates (green cards) granted to Moroccan nationals amounts to 82 800. This figure accounted from 1 January to 18 August 2017, is up by 8.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The number of accidents occurring abroad involving vehicles registered in Morocco also increased during the period under consideration. It rose from 460 to 500 claims, an increase of 8.7%. Spain and France have the highest number of accidents with rates of 75% and 15% respectively.
