Motor insurance, setting up a database

Saudi insurers are establishing a database dedicated to motor risks. The scheme, called Najm Net, set up by Najm for Insurance Services, has come into force in January 2013. It is designed to centralize all the accidents that occurred in the Kingdom during the validity of insurance policies. Insurers thus have data updated and reliable enough to enable them to assess risk and determine pricing. The database will also include violations of the road traffic code and the various offenses committed by motorists.
