Kuwait: Motorists more and more reckless

According to a bi-annual survey carried out by the regulators, Kuwaiti drivers are getting more and more reckless on the roads. Nearly 78% of those quizzed noted higher speed over the last six months of 2015; 79% said that drivers’ changing direction are more and more unpredictable and 76% spoke out against non-compliance with safety distance requirement.

Equally worrisome is the number of distracted drivers: 87% of drivers noted a considerable increase of this indicator during the period considered. Radical change in driving habits is a challenge for the government which is exerting strenuous efforts to secure roads.
