Munich Re : H1 2021 results

At the end of June 2021, Munich Re posted a half-yearly turnover of 29.193 billion EUR (34.75 billion USD), a 7.7% increase compared to the same period in 2020.

The net profit has reached 1.695 billion EUR (2.01 billion USD), representing an improvement of 111.8% against the 800 million EUR (899.778 million USD) recorded at the end of June 2020. The health crisis has affected the German reinsurer's accounts by 505 million EUR (601.161 million USD).

The operating result has progressed by 104%, going from 1.153 billion EUR (1.296 billion USD) as at 30 June 2020 to 2.352 billion EUR (2.79 billion USD) a year later.
