Munich Re publishes the loss experience of the 2007 natural disasters

After Swiss Re, the German Munich Re has published the toll of the losses related to the 2007 natural catastrophes. The total sums of damages amount to 82 billion USD against 50 billion USD in 2006. The amount of insured damages has reached about 30 billion USD. Out of the 960 events listed, the June and July floods in the United Kingdom have cost the insurers 6 billion USD while Kyrill storm cost them 5.8 billion USD.
