Natural catastrophes

Since 2010, Australia has been hit by a series of natural catastrophes. The total damages incurred since this date is above 8.8 billion AUD (8 billion USD). Damages include floods, storms and bushfire claims, the latter estimated at 297 million AUD (270 million USD).

This figure does not take into account recent bushfires in New South Wales whose estimates amount to 145 million AUD (132 million USD). The country is currently in the season favorable to this type of loss.
