Nearly 15% of Lebanese motorists are uninsured

Car insurance LebanonIndustry professionals estimate that about 15% of vehicle owners no longer underwrite motor insurance policies in 2023.

Rates are becoming increasingly expensive and unaffordable for some Lebanese people. The rising premium rates are due to the continued appreciation of the US dollar and the soaring prices of spare parts.

The minimum premium rate is 450 USD and varies depending on the car model, its engine size, date of manufacture and valuation.
