Qatar, new motor claims procedure

In order to facilitate the management of motor claims, the Qatari General Directorate of Traffic has just completed the opening of traffic investigation offices on road accidents.

These new entities are henceforth responsible, in case of accident, for appointing a traffc investigator on the scene to take stock of the situation.

He is called upon to communicate directly with insurers and send them electronically the reference number of the case, the numbers of the license plate as well as the detailed description of the damage.

Thanks to this new process, no need for the motorist involved in an accident to wait for the police to arrive and then get in touch with the insurer to report the claim.
