No more underwriting for Paramount Insurance

Ugandan insurance commission asked the public not to get insured with Paramount Insurance anymore as it has failed to meet its obligations. The company is authorized to manage ongoing policies until their termination and to process old claims. Paramount management has accused the tax services of putting pressure on the commission after the latter refused to pay a tax of 2.2 billion UGX (963 600 USD) due in 2010.
