Non-compliance with lockdown measures sanctioned by insurers
According to the Zimbabwean Insurance Regulatory Authority (IPEC), any person found to be in violation of Covid-19 lockdown measures will have his claim rejected by insurers.
The terms and conditions of insurance contracts indicate that the policy could be terminated if an insured individual breaks the law. An insurer may reject a claim that occurs during curfew hours as decreed by the authorities.
