Non-life insurance, half the insured prefer to underwrite all of their insurance policies with a single insurer

Ernst & Young has just published the results of a survey conducted among non-life policyholders in the United Arab Emirates, whose findings show that 49% of the companies’ customers prefer to underwrite their insurance policies with a single company. Products must be simple enough to be understood by the insured who expect to be rewarded for their loyalty. Insurers have, therefore, to consider price reductions for the purchase of several policies. Nearly 60% of the insured polled said that tariffs matter more than insurer’s reputation or service, especially when it comes to motor or housing insurance.
