Old Mutual Zimbabwe, 2016 results

At the end of 2016, Old Mutual Zimbabwe (OMZ) posted a significant increase in its net profit after tax (+590%) which amounted to 91.8 million USD, against 13.3 million USD in 2015.

This rise is due to the increase in income from investments of non-banking activities. Turnover, on the other hand, recorded a moderate increase of 2.9%, from 183.5 million USD in 2015 to 188.8 million USD by the end of 2016.

Shareholders' equity stands henceforth at 378.9 million USD, up by 19% compared to 2015. With 2.16 billion USD, total assets increased also by 9.6% in 2016.
