Partnership between NAIC and MAMDA to develop agricultural insurance in Nigeria

As part of the South-South cooperation strategy initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is deploying its expertise in agricultural insurance in Nigeria.

A steering committee comprising Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Mutuelle agricole marocaine d’assurance(MAMDA) and MAMDA RE has been set up to develop sustainable agricultural insurance in the country.

The consortium will enable Nigeria to benefit from Morocco's experience in indexed insurance products for areas ranging between 5 000 and 10 000 hectares.
