Ping An launches the smog-insurance

In partnership with the travel agency "Ctrip.com", Ping An has launched the smog*-insurance aimed at travelers complaining about air pollution.

For an extra of 1.6 to 2.4 USD, this insurance is available to clients on Ctrip.com for any journey of 3 to 7 days in six touristic spots of the country.

Compensation, amounting to 8 USD per day, is attributed from a certain threshold of index of air quality (AIQ) and a minimum of 2 days of stay in the city. The AIQ is 200 to Beijing and Xi'an, Harbin and Chengdu 150 and finally 100 Shanghai and Guangzhou.
