Profits of insurance companies on the rise by 30 September 2016
Net results of Rwandan insurers are progressing by 8.5% at 22.2 billion RWF (28.5 million USD) over the first three quarters of the year 2016. Reinsurance net premiums have been set at 69 billion RWF (88.8 million USD) over the same period. This figure represents a 9.69% increase in comparison with the first three quarters of 2015.
While loss experience has jumped by nearly 25% at 41.5 billion RWF (53.4 million USD), the insurance industry remains quite healthy thanks to an acceptable level of assets.
