Uganda insurance industry: prospects of the market

Ibrahim Lubega Kaddunabbi, general manager of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda and vice president of the African Insurance Organization (AIO) outlined the prospects of the Ugandan insurance industry in an interview given on May 17, 2017 to Daily Monitor magazine.

The low penetration rate, the introduction of new regulations and the creation of an oil and gas insurance pool would represent, according to him, major assets for the development of insurance in the country.
