Prudential Plc to acquire Belife Insurance

The British group Prudential Plc has acquired the majority of the capital of the Ivorian insurer Belife Insurance. This transaction should enable both companies to offer insurance and savings solutions in line with the customers' needs.

Via this acquisition, the British group has strengthened its presence on the continent by entering Côte d'Ivoire, its 8^th African market.

Founded in 1848, Prudential Plc offers savings and pension policies to 26 million customers worldwide. Its extensive experience in the sector should facilitate its integration in the Ivorian insurance market.
