Prudential split into two entities by the end of 2019

PrudentialPrudential will be split into two entities by the end of 2019. Unveiled for the first time in March 2018, the transaction will materialize in the fourth quarter of the current year.

Two entities will emerge in the near future: Prudential (international activities) and M&G Prudential (British and European activities). The two companies headquartered in England will be listed on the London Stock Exchange. The new Prudential, which includes mainly Asia, the Americas and Africa, will have a valuation five times higher than the M&G group.

This strategic decision will give the group the opportunity to expand further in Asia, a high-growth market where Prudential is already achieving double-digit results.

As a reminder, as of June 30, 2019, the insurer's net result has increased by 14% to reach 1.86 billion USD.
