Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance plans to establish branches in several Arab countries

During its shareholders' General Assembly, Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company has announced its intention to set up branches in several Arab countries. The company has reported 104.3 million QAR (28.6 million USD) in net profits in 2005, that is, a 40% increase in comparison with 2004 and a net premium volume worth 350.56 million QAR (96.3 million USD) against 281.48 million QAR (77.3 million USD), that is, a 25% rise in comparison with 2004.
