Ranking 2016 of the Senegalese life insurance companies

With a turnover of 10 billion FCFA (16 million USD), Sonam Vie is boosted to the top of the Senegalese life insurance market. AMSA Vie and NSIA Vie come second and third with 8 billion FCFA and 7.7 billion FCFA (12.8 and 12.4 million USD) respectively. These three companies, alone, account for 57% of the market share.

SUNU-Vie comes fourth with 7.3 billion FCFA (11.7 million USD) followed by Allianz Vie (6.212 billion FCFA, 9.9 million USD), Wafa Vie (3.345 billion FCFA, 5.4 million USD), SEN Vie (1.408 billion FCFA, 2.26 million USD) and finally SAAR Vie with 1.301 billion FCFA (2 million USD).

In total, the eight Senegalese life insurance companies account for 45.3 billion FCFA (72.8 million USD) in premiums in 2016, a 32% increase in comparison with 2015.
