Reinsurance: increasing prices in 2020

BusinessAccording to recent study by AM Best, the 2020 renewal of some reinsurance treaties could result in higher rates. Are particularly targeted the natural catastrophe risks that have caused significant losses to reinsurers in 2019.

This is the third year in a row that natural disasters are causing losses to reinsurers, although the year 2019 is less affected than 2017 and 2018. Typhoons Faxai and Hagibis (Japan) in addition to Hurricane Dorian (Bahamas and USD) are the most expensive disasters of the last three years.
